Glovo Couriers' Square

Glovo Couriers' Square is an informal name for a small square on Grunwaldzka Street in Kutno, where during peak ordering times couriers from the Glovo app gather, waiting for the next assignments. The place has gained recognition among residents as a landmark point associated with food and shopping deliveries, though it is not formally designated or marked as a zone.

Where the name came from

The term skwerek comes from the colloquial word for a small, square-shaped city square. Glovo couriers chose this location as a meeting point between deliveries because it lies close to the city centre and many restaurants and shops from which they fulfil orders.

Glovo in Kutno

The Glovo app launched in Kutno in April 2022 and has since become the main delivery platform in the city. Couriers deliver food from local restaurants as well as shopping from discount stores and supermarkets. Most orders come during 12-14, the lunch period, and 18-22, the dinner period, with particular intensity at weekends. In 2026 the company continues to actively employ couriers in Kutno, so the square remains in daily use.

The everyday character of the place

Outside peak hours, the square serves as an ordinary patch of greenery on Grunwaldzka Street. It is the delivery personnel on bicycles and scooters who give it its recognisable character, gathering here while waiting for notification of a new assignment from the app.
