A town square with an obelisk commemorating Polish airmen, a playground, a skate park and public toilets, covering less than a hectare.
Plac Lotników Łaskich is a small public square in the centre of Łask, laid out with residents in mind: benches, a children's playground and a skatepark next to an obelisk dedicated to the memory of Polish airmen.
The square bears the name of the Łaski Airmen and commemorates Polish airmen associated with this city. The central point is an obelisk, around which the rest of the square extends.
On a surface of approximately 0.85 hectares there are a children's playground, a skatepark, public toilets and numerous benches. The paths are suitable for walks throughout the year, regardless of the season.
The name suggests a park, but the layout of the space is rather an urban square with greenery: an open area with an obelisk, paths and recreational zones, without the dense tree cover typical of a park. Walkers looking for shade from trees should head to the neighbouring municipal park.
A few hundred metres away lies Park Miejski imienia rodu Łaskich, established at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in the style of an English landscape garden. Both places together form the main green axis of central Łask.
