Living Christmas Nativity Scene

A seasonal Christmas attraction at ZOO Safari in Borysewie, open during the Christmas period. Moving figures of the Holy Family and the Three Kings are displayed in a glazed building alongside live animals cared for by zoo staff.

What you can see

The animals living in the nativity scene include a camel, alpacas, goats, sheep, donkeys and rabbits. The glass structure of the building keeps them warm and allows visitors to enter and view everything up close, without a barrier separating them from the animals.

Scale of the project

The nativity scene in Borysewie is described as one of the largest living Christmas nativity scenes in Poland. It is built on a car park adjoining the zoo grounds and combines traditional Christmas scenery with an exhibition of farm and exotic animals.

Practical information

• The attraction operates seasonally during the Christmas period, at ZOO Safari in Borysewie in Poddębice municipality.
• Both access to the car park and entry to the nativity scene are free.
• Outside the Christmas season the nativity scene does not operate, and normal zoo visiting rules apply.
