Łódź Kaliska is an artistic club and art gallery located at the renowned Piotrkowska 102 in the centre of Łódź. The club serves as the headquarters of the Association of Artists Grupa Łódź Kaliska and functions as an important centre for artists and audiences seeking alternative forms of culture.
The club operates primarily as an art gallery and space for organising diverse cultural events. The Association of Artists Grupa Łódź Kaliska opted for a shared location that enables close collaboration between artists and creators. The interior of the building provides an appropriate atmosphere for exhibitions and artistic meetings.
The club hosts live music concerts (rock, indie, electronic, experimental), visual art exhibitions, film screenings and art cinema, theatre performances and performance art. The programme is varied and changes depending on the season. The club attracts both established artists and young talents seeking a platform to promote their work.
The building that today houses the club stands on the site of a wooden house belonging to the weaver Franciszek Müller, who settled here in 1833. The present two-storey front tenement was put up in the 1880s by the manufacturer Albert Starke. The building at ul. Piotrkowska 102 stands out in that it accommodates many cultural initiatives simultaneously. Alongside Łódź Kaliska, the building houses the Lordis club, the 6 Dzielnica club, Cafe Foto 102, the headquarters of the Piotrkowska Foundation and the office of the Department of Culture of the Łódź City Hall. This is a rare situation in which many artistic projects and public institutions coexist on a single floor.
The club is located in the heart of Łódź, on Piotrkowska – the city's most popular tourist street. Opening hours are Wednesday to Friday 17:00–2:00 and Saturday 17:00–6:00. The club is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Accessible by public transport or car, although there is no dedicated parking nearby – look for spaces in the existing parking network on Piotrkowska. Klub Wytwórnia on ul. Łąkowa is nearby, making it possible to combine both visits.
