Olimpijczyk Pool

Olimpijczyk is the only municipal indoor swimming pool in Aleksandrów Łódzki, operated by the local Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji [Municipal Centre for Sport and Recreation]. The facility on ul. Bankowa combines sporting and recreational functions: alongside the swimming pool there are water slides, saunas and jacuzzi.

What you will find inside

The sports pool measures 25 by 12.5 metres, with depth varying from 1.2 to 1.8 metres. Alongside it operates a shallower recreational pool, with depth from 0.6 to 0.9 metres, suitable for children and those who do not swim longer distances.

Water slides and relaxation area

The main attraction is a water slide in the shape of a triple spiral, 76 metres long, described as the longest in the Łódzkie [Łódź] voivodeship. For the youngest visitors there is a separate, smaller slide shaped like an elephant. After swimming you can use the jacuzzi, dry sauna and infrared sauna, as well as a solarium and massage.

Classes and swimming lessons

The pool has a swimming section that runs regular classes and swimming tuition for children and adults. This means Olimpijczyk serves both as a place for recreational outings and as a training base for the city's residents.

Accessibility for people with disabilities

The main entrance has a ramp for wheelchairs, and a parking space for people with disabilities is designated in front of the building. The building has no lift connecting the levels, so people using wheelchairs should ask staff in advance about the accessibility of particular areas.
