A play centre inside Łódź zoo operates on a separate ticket and includes a sensory room designed for neurodivergent children.
Orientkowo is a play centre operating within the grounds of the Łódź Zoo, at Konstantynowska 8/10. It opened on 3 December 2025 and is promoted as the only play centre of its kind in Poland operating inside a zoo's grounds.
The entrance to Orientkowo is independent of the zoo entrance, so visiting the play centre does not require a zoo ticket. One accompanying adult gets in free with each child's ticket, which makes visits easier for families with young children.
The hall covers 700 square metres, with a roof reaching 6 metres in height, which allowed for multi-level structures. Visitors also have access to a mezzanine with a café and a terrace overlooking the zoo grounds.
The venue was built partly with neurodivergent children in mind. It has a dedicated sensory room for children who are overstimulated, and staff have been trained to work with such children. This is a solution rarely found in commercial play centres in Łódź.
Six themed rooms are available for birthday parties, including Jungle, Sea, Desert, Space, Zoo and Ice. Non-slip socks are required on site, and visitors can bring their own or buy them at the entrance.
