About Park im. prof. Juliana Samujłły

A neighbourhood park in the Binków estate established in 2002, with a fitness trail, a fountain with a mill wheel and a separate dog park.

Park im. prof. Juliana Samujłły covers 5.5 hectares on the Binków housing estate in Bełchatów. It was established in 2002 and has since been one of the main recreational spaces in this part of the city. The park is currently undergoing another phase of modernisation, which is changing some of its facilities and planting.

Size and layout

The park covers 5.5 hectares, making it one of the larger neighbourhood parks in Bełchatów. It contains several hundred trees and several thousand shrubs, arranged along walking paths. The entire area lies on the Binków estate, close to residential buildings, so access to the park from nearby blocks takes a few minutes.

Paths and street furniture

The paths in the park are made of paving blocks and natural stone chippings. They lead to several points that have long defined the character of this place: a fountain with a mill wheel, an open space for bonfires and shelters. These elements are the main destinations for walks through the park and meeting places for residents of the estate.

Amenities for residents

The park contains a fitness trail with outdoor exercise equipment that can be used free of charge. A separate area with a drawing board has been prepared for children. Dog owners can use a dedicated animal toilet located within the park, and within the Binków estate an additional ecological dog park has also been opened, equipped with lighting and a safe surface.

Modernisation of the park

The ongoing modernisation of the park has cost nearly 2.5 million złoty. It includes the creation of a wooden recreational pergola, a new fountain and a grilling zone, replacing the previous bonfire area. The park will receive 30 new deciduous trees, including linden, maples, rowans and beeches, and the area will gain additional ornamental planting to complement the existing mature trees.

Address in registers and actual location

Official municipal records list the park as a site on the Binków estate, without a specific street name, as the green space does not have its own street address. For navigation, it is best to use geographical coordinates, which indicate the entrance from the residential development.
