A square in central Radomsko has borne, by a resolution of 28 September, the name of Stanisław Niemiec, honoured as a local educator at the request of the Monument Care Society.
Stanisław Niemiec Square is a small green space in the centre of Radomsko, at the junction of Narutowicza and Kościuszki streets. The name commemorates a pedagogue associated with the city, and the square itself serves as a rest point amid the surrounding city-centre buildings.
The square was named at the request of the Radomsko Society for the Protection of Monuments, which wished to commemorate Stanisław Niemiec as an outstanding pedagogue associated with the city. The proposal to name the square in this way was put forward by councillor Jacek Gębicz, and the decision to give it a name was made by the City Council by resolution of 28 September.
Along with the naming, it was announced that a memorial plaque dedicated to Stanisław Niemiec would be placed on the square.
