Park im. Stefana Złotnickiego

Zduńska Wola
Today (Friday): 00:00 – 24:00
About Park im. Stefana Złotnickiego

The largest park in Zduńska Wola, created from a private garden at the Anstadt brewery, rebuilt in 2015-2017 with new ponds and a footbridge.

Park im. Stefana Złotnickiego covers approximately 9 hectares in the centre of Zduńska Wola, on ulica Parkowa. It was established at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries as a private industrial garden, and today is the largest green area in the city, with ponds, walking paths and mature trees.

Garden of Zenon Anstadt's brewery

The grounds of today's park originally belonged to Zenon Anstadt, owner of Zduńska Wola brewery. The garden was arranged as private green space at the facility, for the needs of the owner's family and brewery workers. Over time the city took over the grounds and opened them to residents, preserving the original layout of greenery as the basis for today's park. Today the park is managed by the city of Zduńska Wola, and the grounds are located in the very centre of the city, in direct proximity to the city centre buildings.

Renovation in 2015-2017

The park underwent full reconstruction in 2015-2017. The ponds were renovated at that time, equipped with a water treatment system, new walking paths were marked out and a footbridge over the water was reconstructed. As part of the works, 190 trees and over 4,300 shrubs were planted, and the park gained public toilets and a green irrigation system.

Ponds and paths today

The layout of the park is based on reconstructed ponds, around which walking paths run connected by a footbridge. Dense mature trees and shrubs planted during the renovation provide shade in most of the area, and sanitary infrastructure and irrigation allow the greenery to be maintained even in dry months.

Incident in July 2025 and repairs

In July 2025 an incident occurred in the park involving branches breaking from old trees. Following the incident the city implemented recommendations from dendroecologists and conducted a survey of the tree stock. In parallel, some of the platforms and elements of tourist infrastructure in the park were replaced, supplemented with new safety solutions.

Nearby, at ulica Łaska 90, KS Pogoń-Ekolog Zduńska Wola operates with a stadium and a small pocket park beside it. In the gmina [municipality] of Zduńska Wola, in the village of Wojsławice, the ruins of a knight's castle from the 16th century have been preserved.
