Called to the Carpet / Wezwana na dywanik / Выклік на дыван – exhibition opening

FOTOFESTIWAL GRANT is a program supporting the production of new works by artists from Poland and/or living and working in Poland. Created by Fotofestiwal together with Kamienica Hilarego Majewskiego, the exhibition of Sasha Velichko will be on view from June 19 to July 12, 2026. How to represent collective trauma? How to expose subtle mechanisms of control? How to bear witness to resilience and perseverance? These questions are at the core of Sasha Velichko's artistic practice. Her works, shaped by her own experiences of political intimidation and forced exile from her native Belarus, stem from a deeply personal confrontation with repression, helplessness, and the struggle for survival.
