Ice rink at Manufaktura

Due to convenient access to Manufaktura and the charming market square, the ice rink at Manufaktura always enjoys enormous popularity. This is an open-air ice rink, which means it is open only for the winter season – usually from late November, although the exact opening date typically depends on weather conditions. It is worth remembering that this is a relatively small ice rink (mainly due to its location – it occupies part of the internal market square of Manufaktura), and is usually crowded. On the other hand, it is an ideal place to meet with friends – after spending time on the ice rink, you can head to the shopping center (to one of the cafes, to the cinema or theater).

Ice rink "Bombonierka"

It is located at ul. Stefanowskiego 28 and is part of Łódź's MOSiR (Municipal Sports and Recreation Center). Because it is located inside a building and is covered, it can be used year-round – which is why it is one of the favorite facilities for professional skaters. Amateurs who are just beginning their adventure with skating will certainly find it suitable; the ice rink is large enough to accommodate even organized groups. The facility is named after Maria Olszewska-Lelonkiewicz, a famous figure skating coach.

Retkinia Ice rink

Another ice rink, which is also part of one of Łódź's MOSiR centers, is the Retkinia ice rink. It is located at ul. Popiełuszki 13B and, like the Bombonierka ice rink, is housed in a building and is covered. It is worth noting that for both MOSiR ice rinks, discounts are available to holders of the Large Family Card as well as the "Youth in Łódź" discount card, which applies to students at one of Łódź's universities. There is also the possibility of renting skates or even teaching aids for learning to skate. In both cases, it is also possible to purchase passes.
