Arturówek to a recreational part of Łagiewniki Forest in the north of Łódź, in a place where the Bzura creates three forest ponds. On one site there is a swimming pool with a beach, courts, a rope park and walking trails, making it easy to plan a whole day here without leaving the city.
Arturówek is located on Skrzydlata street, at the edge of Łagiewniki Forest, the largest forest complex within city limits in Europe. Getting there by public transport from the city centre takes about half an hour, and there is also parking at the centre. Entry to the area and the trails is free, with only individual attractions charged for: the swimming pool in season, the rope park and courts.
The swimming pool, courts and rope park operate seasonally, so it is worth checking what is currently open before your visit. The ponds and walking trails themselves are available all year round and look different at each time of year: in spring mainly walks and birds, in summer the beach, in autumn cycling and running routes through the forest.
More places for a green outing in the city are collected on the page of parks and nature in Łódź, and family ideas on attractions for children.
