A fenced dog park with eight agility obstacles, built through participatory budgeting and opened in late 2022, close to the town's pump track.
The dog run in Zduńska Wola is an enclosed area with agility obstacles, built with funds from the participatory budget and opened in late 2022. It is located on ul. Tadeusza Kobusiewicza, near the municipal pumptrack.
The dog run project came third in the eighth edition of Zduńska Wola's participatory budget, receiving 315 votes from residents. Construction was carried out by Delta Cert from Rzeszów, and the investment cost was 144 thousand zloty. The area was opened to the public by 1 December 2022.
The area covers more than 2,300 square metres and is fully enclosed, allowing dogs to run without leads and muzzles. Eight obstacles have been installed on the run: a palisade, rigid tunnel, training jumps, platform, fixed ramp, moving ramp, mixed structure and wheel. Benches have been provided for owners, and waste bins for dogs. This set of obstacles allows basic agility training without the need to travel to a specialised dog training club.
The run is designed both as a place for dogs to run freely without leads and as a space for basic agility training. The fencing and installed obstacles distinguish it from a standard run with no equipment, although there is no instructor or organised classes here.
The dog run was created as a result of resident voting in the participatory budget, not as a top-down decision by the municipal office. Third place in the eighth edition and 315 votes show that the idea of a running space for dogs had real public support before construction began. The Department of Technical Infrastructure was responsible for implementing this 144 thousand zloty investment, with Delta Cert from Rzeszów as the contractor.
