Helios Cinema

Helios Cinema in Tomaszów Mazowiecki is located in Galeria Tomaszów at ulica Warszawska 1, in the city's shopping and entertainment centre. It is a four-screen multiplex of the Helios chain, with air conditioning and digital projection equipment.

Screens and facilities

The cinema has four air-conditioned screens. Projections use 4K technology, and sound is provided by a Dolby 5.1 digital system. This is standard equipment for Helios chain multiplexes, scaled to the size of the city but sufficient for a full-length screening with good image and spatial sound. Four screens mean that different titles can run at the same time, from cinema premieres to family productions.

Programme and special events

Helios is a company founded on 4 December 1992, with headquarters in Łódź at ulica Sienkiewicza 82/84. Since 31 August 2010 it has been part of Agora S.A. Group. The chain comprises 52 cinemas and 292 screens with over 52 thousand seats, making it the largest cinema chain in Poland in terms of number of locations. Older figures put the chain at 43 cinemas and 237 screens, before its expansion.

Next to the screens there is a bar with popcorn, drinks and sweets, and a café serving coffee. This facility is useful before a screening, during an interval between two films or simply while waiting to enter the screen, especially since the cinema is located in a shopping gallery, so time before a screening can also be spent in other shops.
