A monument linking Marshal Piłsudski with the history of the 10th Infantry Regiment, by the former Dominican friary in Łowicz.
The Monument to Józef Piłsudski and soldiers of the 10th Infantry Regiment stands on Podrzeczna Street in Łowicz, next to the former Dominican monastery complex. The name combines two themes connected with the city: the figure of the marshal and the infantry regiment, which had its garrison history here.
In Łowicz, the Technical School Complex named after the 10th Infantry Regiment operates, confirming that the name of this military unit remains alive and visible in the city's public space. Józef Piłsudski, for his part, is an honorary citizen of Łowicz, so monuments and plaques referring to his person are no accident here. This kind of commemoration linking the figure of the marshal with a local military unit is found in several cities that had historical connections with the interwar Polish army.
