A symbolic grave from 1999 on Skwer Pikadora, holding soil brought from battlefields in memory of a soldier killed in September 1939 - a quiet spot with no tourist facilities.
On Skwer im. Mariana Niteckiego "Pikadora" in the centre of Radomsko stands a small commemorative monument dedicated to an unknown Polish soldier. It is a quiet, intimate place that is often passed by during a walk through the city centre.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is located on ul. Narutowicza, at the Skwer Mariana Niteckiego, known locally as Pikador. The square lies in the central part of Radomsko, surrounded by greenery and benches.
The monument was erected in 1999 to commemorate an unknown soldier who fell in September 1939, in the opening weeks of the defensive war. The grave contains earth brought from battlefields and other places of national remembrance, which gives it the character of a symbolic collective grave rather than the burial place of one specific person.
Nearby, also in the centre of Radomsko, stands the Monument to the Cursed Soldiers, which addresses a similar theme of remembrance for soldiers who fought for independence. A few minutes' walk away is the Market Square in Radomsko, and beside it the Collegiate Church of Saint Lambert.
