ZGO Aquarium with an Ice Rink

AQUARIUM Centrum Fit Rawa at ulica Katowicka 20 is an indoor sports and recreation complex run by the municipal company ZGO Aquarium, with pools, a sauna zone and a gym, and in the winter season also an ice rink.

Pools, saunas and gym

The facility offers sports and recreational pools, including a water zone and paddling pool for young children, hydromassage baths, indoor and outdoor water slides, an exercise studio and a gym. There is also a sauna zone with a so-called sun meadow, a salt grotto, and Turkish and Finnish saunas.

An ice rink that becomes a skatepark in summer

In the winter season, an artificial, indoor ice surface measuring 30.90 by 20.40 metres is put into operation, running from late autumn to early spring. In summer, the same surface is used as a skatepark, so the rink changes its function with the seasons. More than 50 pairs of skates in all sizes are available to skaters, and for the youngest visitors, special training sledges to aid learning and protective helmets have been provided, making their first outings on the ice safer.

Accessibility and equipment

The building was designed without architectural barriers, with a lift and equipment facilitating use by people with disabilities. Water is treated automatically using UV lamps, and the facility uses heat pumps and solar collectors.

Municipal company

The facility is managed by ZGO Aquarium Sp. z o.o., a company owned by the city of Rawa Mazowiecka. The centre is located in a part of the city away from the historic town centre, near the Tatary reservoir, next to the municipal park.
