Spring weather is perfect for family outings – not necessarily outside the city. Entertainment in Łódź doesn't have to be limited to a walk down Piotrkowska Street (though we certainly recommend that too!). Within the city you can find plenty of places that offer great fun. We've prepared 10 suggestions that the whole family can enjoy.
1. Arena Laser Games
Located in Manufaktura and very popular. Anyone of any age can take part in the games at the Arena, which makes it an ideal spot for a family outing. Players wear special vests that react to laser beams; everyone is also equipped with special gear. The group moves through a labyrinth, and their goal is to complete a specific mission. But it's not as simple as it might seem at first glance!
2. Eksperymentarium
Like Arena Laser Games, Eksperymentarium is located in Manufaktura. Science combines with fun here. A great option for those who like to spend their free time learning new things – which is why whole families visit it so often.
3. Year-round bobsled run on Rudzka Góra
Sledding is not just a winter activity – on a sunny day we can use the run on Rudzka Góra all year round! It's 580 meters long, and the descent takes a maximum of 1 minute 20 seconds. Children under 8 years old get free admission (of course accompanied by an adult; ticket price: 6 PLN).
4. Łódź Zoo
If the weather is nice, it's worth visiting the Łódź Zoo located on Konstantynowska Street. Visitors can find, among other things, a monkey house, a vivarium, and even... a butterfly house. Discovering the world of wild animals together will certainly interest not just the youngest!
5. Aquapark Fala
Families who prefer active recreation should definitely visit Aquapark Fala, located near the zoo. Mega water slides, water playgrounds with (among other things) an octopus and a ship), a rope bridge, pools – it all creates virtually unlimited possibilities for swimming enthusiasts and those looking for good fun.
6. Bowling
The Król Kul bowling alley located in Sukcesja or Grakula in Manufaktura can turn out to be a great place for a family outing. Competition within the family group is also a good opportunity for team building and spending quality time together.
7. KołoWrotki Roller Skating Rink
Roller skating is making a comeback – a visit to KołoWrotki (located at Piotrkowska 217) is another way to spend your free time actively. If the weather isn't appealing, roller skating will be a great opportunity to produce an extra dose of endorphins.
8. Tkalnia Zagadek
Escape rooms are hugely popular – puzzle lovers and everyone for whom Sherlock Holmes is a cult figure will definitely find their place at Tkalnia Zagadek (al. Tadeusza Kościuszki 1). Mysteries to solve include those of a secret film workshop and a scientist's death. The bravest will perform a mysterious dream catcher ritual...
9. Se-ma-for Animation Museum
A place that brings generations together. Se-ma-for allows you to immerse yourself in the world of animated tales – Colargol the Bear, Little Penguin Pik-Pok, or the cat Filemone. Numerous models, exhibits and film screenings will fascinate both the youngest and slightly older visitors. The museum is located at Sienkiewicza Street 100.
10. Bonfire at the city's edges
You don't need to leave for a dacha to enjoy nice weather and spend time outdoors – just head to a place designated for bonfires. Uroczysko Lublinek is a popular choice among Łódź residents craving fresh air relaxation. It's also worth considering a picnic spot located right next to the City Forestry headquarters.
