Cinema City

Cinema City w Manufakturze is one of the larger multiplexes in Łódź: fifteen air-conditioned screens, including an IMAX screen and a 4DX screen with moving seats. The cinema operates on the grounds of Manufaktura, a shopping and entertainment complex housed in the former factory buildings of Izrael Poznański on ulica Drewnowska.

Fifteen screens and over 2500 seats

The multiplex has a total capacity of over 2500 viewers spread across fifteen screens. Standard screens are complemented by an IMAX screen, one of five such installations in Poland, and a 4DX screen with dynamic seating and environmental effects such as wind gusts and scents matched to the scene.

Cinema in a former Poznański factory

The building housing Cinema City stands on the grounds of the former textile factory of Izrael Poznański, one of the largest fabric manufacturers in 19th-century Łódź. The entire Manufaktura site is now occupied by a shopping and entertainment centre considered one of the largest of its kind in this part of Europe, and the cinema is just one of its elements.

Bar in the cinema and facilities

Cinema Bar by Tiger operates on the multiplex grounds, Łódź's first cinema bar, where a screening can be combined with a drink or snack ordered at the bar. Free parking for 3000 vehicles is available to viewers, including a supervised zone, which makes arrival by car from outside the city centre easier.

Getting there by public transport

Trams on lines 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 11A, 15, 16/16A, 45 and 46, and buses on lines 59, 78/78A, 96 and 99/99A serve Manufaktura. The shopping centre also runs its own free tram line connecting the complex grounds with the surrounding area, shortening the walk from stops.

Programme and booking

Tickets for screenings are booked online, and the programme changes weekly with new film releases. The IMAX screen and 4DX screen are usually assigned to selected major titles, so it is worth checking before your visit which screen a given film is playing on, if you specifically want that format.

Manufaktura as a whole

Cinema City is one of many venues on the Manufaktura grounds, alongside shops, restaurants and recreational spaces arranged in former factory halls. The proximity of a large shopping and entertainment centre means that a visit to the cinema can easily be combined with shopping or a walk around the former factory square, and ulica Piotrkowska, Łódź's main shopping street, is also nearby.
