Swimming pools, bathing areas and pools in Łódź – a guide to places worth visiting

Water attraction enthusiasts will certainly not be disappointed – Łódź is home to many swimming pools, bathing areas and pools, so both fans of quiet, small facilities and lovers of pools with multiple water slides will find something for themselves. We invite you to review the most popular places worth visiting.

Aquapark Fala

This is definitely the most popular water park in Łódź, which is also an excellent place for family entertainment. Visitors will find almost everything they could wish for here – huge water slides, several pools, water playgrounds, rope bridges, as well as saunas (steam and Finnish). In summer, an outdoor pool equipped with additional attractions is also open. Aquapark is located near Łódź Zoo; it is situated on aleja Unii Lubelskiej.

Wodny Raj

This is another option, particularly recommended for residents of Teofilów. It is a swimming pool run by MOSiR Łódź; in addition to the pool, water sports enthusiasts can enjoy access to a jacuzzi and entry to the sauna. In the summer season, beach volleyball is possible, while in winter you can enjoy ice skating on an artificial, portable ice rink. At Wodny Raj you can swim year-round – one swimming pool is covered, while the other, open-air pool is available only during the summer season.

Pool at the Ambasador hotel

We all sometimes dream of true luxury. On television and the Internet we watch celebrities bathing in beautiful, large pools located inside hotel facilities. However, you don't need to travel to the USA or any other country – to experience bathing in such conditions, just visit the Ambasador hotel in Łódź. Interestingly, the pool (as well as the jacuzzi, steam bath and dry sauna) can also be used by people who are not hotel guests. In the summer season, an outdoor pool is also available for hotel guests and all interested visitors. The hotel is located in Chojny, on ul. Kosynierów Gdańskich.

Pool at the Andel's hotel

The pool at the Ambasador hotel is not the only place in Łódź where you can feel like a movie star. Another is undoubtedly the pool at Vienna House Andel's Łódź. Guests have access to a huge, glass-enclosed pool with a view of the city skyline. A sauna is also available, as well as facial and body beauty treatments and massage studio services. Similar to the pool at the Ambasador hotel, the pool at Vienna House can also be used by people from outside the hotel. The building is located on ulica Ogrodowa.

Pool at Zatoka Sportu of Łódź University of Technology

This is Łódź's first indoor 50-meter pool that can be used not only by students but by all visitors. It consists of as many as 10 lanes, and its depth is 2.5 meters. A second pool is also available for swimmers: a 25-meter pool with an adjustable floor – it can be set to a level of up to 5 meters! The pool offers swimming and diving courses as well as aquafitness classes.
