Zdrowie-Mania is a district of Łódź where sport ranges from the city's largest arena to a free outdoor gym on a neighbourhood green. You'll find both major sporting events and everyday outdoor activity here.
Atlas Arena on aleja Bandurskiego is a round arena built on a circular plan, surrounded by a moat, holding nearly 15 thousand spectators. It hosts world and European championships in various disciplines, and on days without competitions the venue also hosts concerts and trade fairs.
The street workout zone in Park na Zdrowiu is part of a larger recreational complex from 2017, alongside a ropes course, slides and climbing walls, open to various age groups and fitness levels. Closer to Wileńska Street stands an outdoor gym on the site of a former green space, where the main avenue of a former village cemetery is still visible in the layout of the paths.
The street workout zone and the outdoor gym are suited to spontaneous training with no sign-up or fees, aimed at families and people who exercise on their own. Atlas Arena operates on a different scale entirely: tickets for a specific event and parking for a large number of cars.
The outdoor zones are open around the clock, all year round, so they also work well in the evening after work.
