Zdrowie-Mania is the district home to the Łódź zoo, so three attractions on this list are centred around Park na Zdrowiu: the Orientarium itself, the cycling track next to it, and a seasonal rope park on the zoo grounds.
What to see at the Orientarium?
Orientarium ZOO Łódź at Konstantynowska 8/10 is the city zoo, known above all for a building devoted to the fauna of Southeast Asia and an underwater tunnel beneath sharks. Across 16.64 hectares live over 5,000 animals belonging to more than 625 species. The garden's beginnings go back to the 1930s, on a fragment of the former Łódź Forest, and the institution today operates as a municipal company within the Holding Łódź structure.
And for older children, on a bike?
Right next door, in Park na Zdrowiu, is PumpTrack, an outdoor track for bikes, skateboards and inline skates with two routes of varying difficulty, including obstacles up to 1.2 metres high. Seasonally, on the zoo grounds themselves, the Zoolandia Mini Rope Park is open, with three levels of rope obstacles for children aged 3 to 13, protected by safety nets against falls.
You'll find more suggestions for children in the region on the kids' attractions in the Łódź region page, and attractions for a rainy day on the rainy-day attractions page.
