Chojny has three murals worth seeing, ranging from an intimate work on a hospice building to pieces by artists from Spain and Mexico, created as part of the Urban Forms festival. All three are free and visible from the street around the clock.
The mural on the Gajusz Foundation building - a girl on a flamingo
The mural on the Gajusz Foundation building on Dabrowskiego street shows a girl swinging on a pink flamingo-shaped swing. The artist, Marta Zawieja, placed stars in the background painted with glow-in-the-dark paint, so the image changes character after dark. The building serves as a children's hospice.
3TTMAN's "Power Scale" and Paola Delfin's "Healing"
On the wall of a tenement house on Rzgowska street hangs "Waga mocy" (Power Scale), painted in 2013 by the Spanish artist 3TTMAN as part of the third edition of the Urban Forms Gallery - the thirtieth mural of this project in Łódź, combining exotic animals, human faces and symbols of money. On Jana Brzechwy street stands "Leczenie" (Healing) by Mexican artist Paola Delfin from 2015 - a portrait of a woman in shades of purple and blue, painted with the chiaroscuro style characteristic of the artist.
