Over 40 places in the south of Łódź. Górna is the most "outdoorsy" district in the catalogue: three bathing spots and pools, seven sports facilities, two rope parks and a sledging run. There are no museums here, and that's exactly its character.
MOSiR Stawy Jana on Rzgowska 247 is a bathing spot alongside which the Stawy Jana Rope Park and the Stawy Jana Skatepark also operate at the same address, so a single visit here fills half a day. MOSiR Stawy Stefańskiego on Patriotyczna 3 lies in the western part of the district. Year-round swimming is available at the pool of the Hotel Ambasador on Kosynierów Gdyńskich 8, where an hour costs 20 PLN until 4 pm and 25 PLN after, with the price including a jacuzzi and saunas.
The sledging run on Rudzka Góra on Starorudzka 46/50 costs 5 PLN per run and is the only hill of its kind in the city. The Na Młynku Rope Park stands on Śląska 168, and Smocza Kraina (Dragon Land), an indoor playroom, on Siedlecka 3.
Seven sports facilities, including four outdoor gyms: in J. Dąbrowski Park (Jachowicza 1), in Legionów Park on Bednarska Street, in H. Dubaniewicz Square on Paderewskiego Street and by Port Łódź (Pabianicka 245). All free, open at any time.
The district has twelve cultural institutions, mostly libraries. The Youth Culture Centre on Lokatorska 13, with its Klub Dąbrowa branch (Dąbrowskiego 93), and the Górna Culture Centre on Siedlecka 1 run classes and concerts. The Reymont Łódź-Górna Municipal Public Library on Paderewskiego 11a has four branches across the district.
Chojny (20 places), Ruda and Górniak (8 each), Piastów-Kurak and Rokicie (4 each) and Chojny-Dąbrowa. You can choose a neighbourhood in the panel alongside.
Where can you swim in Górna? Stawy Jana on Rzgowska Street and Stawy Stefańskiego on Patriotyczna Street, both seasonal bathing spots run by MOSiR.
What can you do for free in Górna? Thirteen places carry the "free" tag: outdoor gyms, parks, squares, murals and cemeteries.
Is there anything here for a rainy day? Nearly thirty venues operate indoors: playrooms, libraries, culture centres, pools and the Port Łódź gallery.
You'll find the other districts on the attractions in Łódź page, all the places at once on the map, and what's happening in the city over the coming days in the events calendar.
