Looking for something to do in the evening or on a free afternoon in the Łódź region? This page brings together escape rooms, karting tracks, bowling alleys, cinemas, theatres and music clubs across the whole region - most of them in Łódź, from Piotrkowska Street to Manufaktura and Nowa Sukcesja, but also in Zduńska Wola, Piotrków Trybunalski and Tomaszów Mazowiecki. Every entry has an address and a short description, so you'll find something for a specific evening, not just a list of names.

Where is there the most evening entertainment in the Łódź region?

The densest offer of escape rooms, bowling alleys and clubs is in Łódź - a full overview is on the entertainment in Łódź page. In the region's smaller towns the choice is narrower, but bowling, pool and escape rooms still operate, as described below.

Escape rooms in Łódź - where to play

Łódź has one of the oldest escape room scenes in Poland. Zagwozdka on Struga Street was the first escape room opened in the country, today with rooms for adults and a family-friendly Captain Raptus's Cabin in a historic cellar (Zagwozdka). Nearby, on Piotrkowska Street, you'll find Tkalnia Zagadek - also one of the first companies in the industry, running since 2014, with over a dozen crime, horror and adventure rooms across two venues on the same street (the second location has five scenarios lasting 60 or 90 minutes). In Widzew's Stoki district, ciphers and puzzles are solved at SzyfroGRAm, and on Łomżyńska Street Alfa Fun combines laser tag, archery tag and five escape rooms (Alfa Fun). If you prefer solo gaming without locked doors, Retro Gaming Club on Piotrkowska Street has more than thirty arcade machines, pinball tables and consoles from the 1980s and 90s.

Karting in Łódź - go-kart tracks

Two tracks in the city cover year-round go-karting. In the Bałuty district, on Smugowa Street, you'll find Gokart Arena - a year-round track with SODI go-karts in children's, adult and tandem versions, combining an indoor track with an open-air section. In Widzew, on Wydawnicza Street, there's the two-level Racing Center with a fleet of 25 go-karts in various categories, from vehicles for children to sports models for adults, with facilities for corporate events.

Bowling and pool

Classic bowling in Łódź is mainly found at two addresses in shopping centres: in Nowa Sukcesja there's Kręgielnia Król Kul with 24 lanes, a pool table, arcade machines and a VR simulator, while in Manufaktura Kręgielnia Grakula has 28 lanes and a separate VIP zone. At the thermal baths complex in Uniejów there's a four-lane NAUTILUS - Kręgielnia, which turns into a music club in the evenings. For pool lovers in the city centre there are two clubs affiliated with the Polish Billiards Association: Frame on Narutowicza Street with online lane bookings and tournaments, and Klub Bilardowy Tago on Brzeźna Street with eight tables and electronic darts. In Manufaktura, pool combines with mini bowling and VR simulators at Jazda!Park, open until late at night.

Bowling and pool outside Łódź

In Zduńska Wola (full list: entertainment in Zduńska Wola) it's worth heading to Bowling Pub on Łaska Street for bowling - two lanes combined with a pizzeria in the town centre, a popular spot for a family evening. In Piotrków Trybunalski (entertainment in Piotrków Trybunalski), at the Trybunalski hotel, you can play on the two computerised lanes of Avocado Bowling Club, and in Tomaszów Mazowiecki (entertainment in Tomaszów Mazowiecki) the town's only professional bowling alley is run by Navi. Bowling Club - six lanes with UV lighting and a summer garden. In Kutno (entertainment in Kutno), inside the local water park building, the four-lane Bowling Kutno runs an amateur league plus extra arcade machines.

Cinemas in Łódź - from multiplexes to arthouse screens

The biggest choice of screenings is at the fifteen-screen Cinema City in Manufaktura, with an IMAX and 4DX hall and free parking for 3,000 cars, while on Piłsudskiego Avenue there's Silver Screen, part of the Multikino chain under the Vue group since 2018. Łódź's first Helios multiplex is in Nowa Sukcesja (Kino Helios, nine screens for nearly two thousand viewers). If you prefer arthouse cinema, check out Kino Charlie on Piotrkowska Street, open since 1994 with its own film festivals, or Kino Tatry - the oldest still-operating cinema in Poland, running since 1907 and still screening films on 35 mm film. The Museum of Cinematography houses Kino Kinematograf, with a digital projector and a historic Ernemann apparatus, and next to the cinemas in EC1 it's worth visiting Planetarium with its night-sky shows. Outside Łódź, cinema has returned after years without one in Aleksandrów Łódzki (Kino Spójnia, 170 seats), and in Wieluń it now runs as a multimedia hall combining screenings with concerts (Kino-Teatr Syrena).

Theatres and independent stages

Łódź's theatres aren't just large drama stages. Teatr Lalek Arlekin (Arlekin Puppet Theatre) has performed since 1948 in an Art Nouveau building from 1902, and Teatr "Pinokio" (Pinocchio Theatre) has offered a repertoire ranging from shows for infants to performances for teenagers since 1945. For adult audiences there's the intimate Teatr DOM in a historic tenement building from 1835 on Piotrkowska Street, and Teatr V6, a private stage for contemporary dance and circus in the former Przedwiośnie cinema. Independent stages are represented by Teatr Szwalnia, with performances combined with concerts, and Stowarzyszenie Teatralne Chorea at Fabryka Sztuki, drawing on Greek antiquity. A family puppet and mask theatre has been run since 1992 by Teatr Piccolo, and in Manufaktura there's an intimate comedy stage, Teatr Mały. Outside Łódź, in Zgierz, a historic mill once owned by the Braun brothers houses Miejski Ośrodek Kultury (Municipal Cultural Centre), with a 200-seat performance hall.

Clubs and live music

Piotrkowska Street by night is mostly about clubs. The largest LED chandelier in Poland hangs in Lordi's Club & FooFoo Bar, with capacity for 1,500 people, while the club and art gallery run by the Łódź Kaliska group hosts concerts and alternative cinema (Łódź Kaliska). Łódź's oldest LGBT+ club, running since 1997, is now located at Komuny Paryskiej Square after moving premises (Narraganset). Live music plays at Klub Wytwórnia, housed in a former post-war film studio, and at Scenografia, in a building from 1879 that was once the Cytryna cinema, with room for up to 500 people. The big dance clubs are Ambasada Club in the Stare Polesie district (about 2,000 people, house and disco music) and Club Teatr in a former theatre building, with a three-metre crystal chandelier. A more intimate, cooperative atmosphere can be found at Pop'n'art on Plac Wolności with its jam sessions, while Antrakt Club next to Teatr Nowy offers palace-style interiors.

VR, laser tag and paintball - entertainment for groups and corporate events

Virtual reality has two strong addresses in Łódź: Ateitis VR Arena on Piotrkowska Street, where up to twelve people play cable-free on a shared arena, and Virtual House with twelve stations and more than a hundred games. Laser tag and paintball are a good choice for a group evening - besides the Laser Games Arena mentioned in Manufaktura, there's also Battle Arena in Piekary, an eight-hectare field for paintball, airsoft and a sports shooting range among bunkers and buildings. Outside the city, in Wiączyn Dolny, the whole family can find entertainment under one roof at Ballandia - a playroom, zipline, bowling alley and restaurant in one place, while in Ksawerów a recreational hall, AIR JUMP, combines trampoline zones with a playroom and climbing walls. Indoor, year-round entertainment on 10,000 square metres is also offered by Fabryka Nauki i Rozrywki (Science and Entertainment Factory) on Starorudzka Street, with a drift-karting track.

Manufaktura, Nowa Sukcesja and Port Łódź - entertainment under one roof

If you don't want to drive around the city, three complexes offer several attractions at once. Manufaktura, a former cotton factory owned by Izrael Poznański, opened in 2006 on 27 hectares, combines more than 300 shops with a cinema, museums and a bowling alley around a square with fountains. Nowa Sukcesja, reopened in 2024 after a four-year break, has a Helios cinema and a large play zone, Hopa Lupa, while Port Łódź on Pabianicka Street, the region's largest shopping centre, offers more than 170 shops and Fabryka Wody (Water Factory). For a walk between attractions, the best choice is Piotrkowska Street - an almost 4.2-kilometre axis through the city lined with historicist and Art Nouveau buildings, one of the longest pedestrian streets in Poland, where most of the clubs and escape rooms in this list are concentrated.

Practical info: when to go and how much it costs

It's worth booking escape rooms, bowling lanes and cinema tickets in advance for Fridays and Saturdays - on weekdays it's easier to find a free slot and a lower price. The clubs on Piotrkowska Street really come alive after 10 pm, so if you're after a quieter evening, a bowling alley, cinema or escape room is a better choice. The attractions in Manufaktura, Nowa Sukcesja and Port Łódź all have free parking, which can matter for a several-hour outing with a group of friends. Escape room and go-kart ticket prices depend on the group size - it's worth checking this when booking, since some venues charge per person and others per track or room.
